Smokebush
The smokebush is a medium grower with blue-green leaves in the summer changing to yellow-red-purple in the fall. The flowers are ineffective, however, when the flowers are spent they leave a hair-like material that produce a 'smoke-like' effect appearance that is effective from June to September.
Grow in moderately fertile moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. The purple leaves color best in full sun.
