Common Beech tree
The Beech is the perfect specimen tree. Some have claimed that the beech tree is so beautiful that it can overwhelm at first glance!
A 50 to 60 foot high tree at maturity, the beech tree is densley pyramidal branching to the ground and can be very stately. The bark is smooth and gray; unmatched by other trees.
Leaves unfold to a shimmery green and fully develop in May. During the season, leaves turn a lovely dark green changing to a rich russet and golden bronze colors in fall.
An excellent tree to any area, the beech is a large tree and will need room to grow and spread. A beech tree will flourish for many years adding elegance to the yard.
