Drainage / Water Problems

 

 

 

 

Water oozing into our homes creates health problems as well as unwanted expenses.  Water pooling on our lawns, gardens and sidewalks is also undesirable.

There can be several reasons why water enters the home and why it pools in turf.  In either case, the problem should be addressed and corrected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Installing underground gutter/downspout and sump pump lines, using 4" corrugated or PVC pipe

Redirecting pooling water away from house by using natural draining methods; swales, berms, re-grading, improving water percolation through the lawn via aeration and dethatching

Installing French drains

Installing back up battery sump pumps

Check for leaking hoses and spigots

Diagnosing window wells and window well covers

Inspections of all grading around home plus inspection of water discharge from neighbor's downspouts and/or sump pumps

Fence inspection of rising or sinking posts

Flooding lawns and gardens

Re-grading portions of your yard to move water away from home

Adding top soil/sod/plants/trees when necessary to assist with water absorption through plant tissues

If water pools around home yard foundation for more than 24 hours after a storm, or water will not drain after 1-2 days call for evaluation and info.
